BlockBase Screen Saver
We hope that you're having fun with BlockBase. We enjoyed all those colored blocks so much during the program's development that we missed seeing them when the project was over. Creating a screen saver using the BlockBase blocks seemed like a terrific solution — and fun too! The project is done, and we're ready to share it with you. We hope you like it.
Download the file
Download the screen saver (144KB) directly onto your hard drive. You will be prompted for a location to Save the file. It is recommended that you save it in the BB2 folder. The file that you are saving to the BB folder is not the screen saver itself, it's an installation file. You can download the file now by clicking on the underlined words
"Click here to begin downloading the file." The name of the file is BB-Saver.exe.
Install the Screen Saver
After you have successfully downloaded the file, make sure you have turned off all programs, including any virus-checkers you may have running in memory. Find the BB-Saver.exe file on your computer. (It will be in the BB2 folder if you saved it there as recommended above, otherwise it will be in the folder where your downloads go to by default.) Double-click on the BB-Saver.exe file. This decompresses the files needed for the installation and starts the installation program automatically.
The screen saver program needs to be installed in the WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder. The installation will automatically choose this folder for you. When the installation is complete, you'll need to setup and configure Windows to use it.
