Empty Shopping Cart

Help! My shopping cart is empty even though I added products to my cart.

You most likely have cookies disabled on your browser.

1. How do I find out which browser I am using?

Click Help - About Internet Explorer/Mozilla/...
Look for the exact number. e.g. Firefox 3.0.6.

Internet Explorer?
Download Internet Explorer for free here.

Firefox?
Download Firefox for free here.

AOL?
Download AOL here. (*AOL is a browser as well as an Internet Service Provider (ISP). After a promotional period there is a monthly charge to use AOL as your ISP.)

3. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a way to store information. It is an HTTP header that consists of a string that gets entered into the memory of your browser. This string contains the domain, path, lifetime, and the value of a variable. If the lifetime of this variable is longer than the time the user spends at the site, then this string is saved in a text file for future reference.

5. If I have disabled cookies on my browser, then how do I enable them?

For Netscape 4.0 cookies can be enabled here:
Click on Edit
Click on Preferences
Click on Advanced
Click on Accept all cookies

For Internet Explorer 4.0:
Click on View
Click on Internet Options
Click on Security
Click on Cookies
Click on Always accept cookies

For Internet Explorer 5.0:
Click on Tools
Click on Internet Options
Click on Security
Pick Medium

For AOL 4.0:
Click on My AOL
Click on Preferences
Click on WWW
Click on Security
Click on Medium

For Firefox:
Click Tools
Click on Options
Click the Privacy tab
Under Cookies, click the Exceptions tab. Put www.electricquilt.com in the list and Allow it.
Click OK.

Cookies are enabled by default, so for most users this will not be a problem.
