Goose on the loose

Original design, this was fun to play with but I'm someone who can not paper piece, so I think the only way this would ever get made with cloth would be if I were to Applique the curvey geese... and that would not be "Too Much Fun"

As always, thanks for all the work you'all put in this. Sometimes the Challenge is the only time during the moth I make the time to do a little design work. (and that is sad!)

Flying South

How appropriate to have the flying geese block as a challenge at this time of year when the geese are preparing to return south for the winter. I used a curve flying geese block I had drawn for another project and then traced a picture of a goose for the applique

Pulsating Purple Paths

4 Birds in the Air Blocks arranged to form a larger square. The 4 larger squares are sashed with a path of Flying Geese Blocks meeting in a plain center square which would contain a quilted design maybe using trapunto.
Outer most border is made of Wild Goose Chase border blocks placed at 90% to the center, and seem to me to be like pulsating springs.

Into the sun

The center circle is made up of flying geese moving in opposite directions to give it movement. With the different shades of yellow, the idea is to give the impression of a sun. I drew another flying geese block for the borders and used the Birds in the Air block from the Classic Library for the corners.
