Quilt Computer Lab
Electric Quilt Computer Lab at Houston Quilt Festival October 27 - November 2, 2003 The
Electric Quilt Company will again sponsor a hands-on EQ computer lab at
the International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas.
EQ book authors, Fran Gonzalez and Barb Vlack will offer beginning and intermediate EQ5 classes. Craig Hamer, from Hewlett-Packard, will return by request to team-teach his popular Printer Magic class. Barbara Gilstad
is coordinating the lab, and will be looking for classroom volunteers.

to EQ5, you will learn to use the block library, set blocks into layouts
for quilts, add borders, color blocks on the quilt, and create patterns.
Monday afternoon, October 27 - Designing Quilts in EQ5 (Intermediate) - Barb Vlack After you've learned the basics for using EQ5, explore ways to create quilts of many kinds with various traditional and non-traditional layouts, border options, appliqué overlays, and quilting stencils. Tuesday morning, October 28 - Designing Quilts in EQ5 (Intermediate) - Barb Vlack After you've learned the basics for using EQ5, explore ways to create quilts of many kinds with various traditional and non-traditional layouts, border options, appliqué overlays, and quilting stencils. Learn fabric printing secrets great for labels and quilts. Explore paper printing options for cards and tags.
