Dear Friends,
Our
Web site's fresh new look is thanks to months of work by our Web
Wizard Andrea Poulimenos (shown at right) with help from Graphic
Designer, Jill Badenhop. We love the look, and hope you find it
easier to use. See Andrea's new Web site feature, the Lesson
of the Month.
To read this Floppy Gazette, click on the blue links above.
You'll find Show & Tell from EQ users, and lots of information about
what other EQ users are up to.
HP Printer Winner
Congratulations to Tracy Dally, of Burleson, Texas. Tracy
won the Hewlett Packard DeskJet 1220C printer give-away from Hewlett
Packard and Electric Quilt Company at the 2001 International Quilt
Festival in Houston, Texas. The HP1220 is a printer we use
at EQ Company. We like so much we've started selling it. See why
here.
EQ Classes On-line
New EQ classes are starting online continuously, through QuiltUniversity.com.
These classes get RAVES! See the winter class schedule, read the
raves, and sign up.
Round Robins
Looking for design practice? Try a Round Robin, designing virtual
quilts with others. You'll be amazed at how much you can learn.
See the
Round Robin "rules." Then browse the
Album page to see past Robin designs. Join up it's fun!
You can also read how Connecting Threads employees started
their own company Round Robin.
ClubEQ Challenges
EQ users are all invited to participate in monthly ClubEQ challenges.
Barb Vlack, Challenge Chief, poses a challenge each month.
Anyone can enter an EQ quilt design. All designs are displayed on
the EQ Web site. Interested? Visit the ClubEQ
page for rules, and designs from past challenges.
Karen K. Stone
How
fun it was! We spent a week in Texas with quilt artist Karen
K. Stone and photographer Mark Packo. Mark photographed Karen,
her daughters, her animals (many) and her quilts all over Dallas
for an upcoming book/CD project, Karen K. Stone Quilts. (Publication
Fall 2002 or Spring 2003.) Here we're trying out cover shot ideas.
More about Karen's book/CD project as we get farther into it.
Dear Jane
No definite finish date yet for our upcoming Dear Jane pattern
CD-ROM with popular author, Brenda Papadakis. We're currently
drawing blocks and editing video interviews with Brenda. We know
many are waiting patiently for the CD, so we're working hard.
Thanks for reading,
and for all your support,
Dean, Penny, Ann, Lu, Margaret, Jan, Jill, Andrea, Sharon,
Diane, Sarah, Kevin, Jenny, Stephanie, and EQ the Mouse
