American Patchwork & Quilting Honors Margaret

EQ staff member, Margaret Okuley, could hardly keep the secret! But her news is out: her shop, The Quilt Foundry in Maumee Ohio, is one of ten stores featured in the next Quilt Sampler issue of American Patchwork & Quilting magazine. The special annual issue samples the top quilt stores in North America.

Margaret is EQ's "resident quilt expert" on Tuesdays and Fridays. But the rest of the week she and her three partners run a busy and popular quilt shop in an historic town along the Maumee River.

[September Song Quilt] Meet Margaret and her partners when the magazine comes out May 25, 1999. Margaret used EQ to turn the Pine Tree block, her shop logo, into a beautiful "September Song" Pine Tree medallion quilt. Margaret's shop will offer kits for her quilt. Ordering details will be given in the article.

"We think the article will make more people aware of our store," says Margaret. "We already have people stopping on their way to or from vacation, and we expect more people to find us this summer."

So if you're driving through Northwest Ohio sometime soon, plan a stop at the charming brick building housing The Quilt Foundry, and say hello to Margaret.

The Quilt Foundry is located at:
234 West Wayne Street
Maumee, OH 43537
Open Monday - Saturday 10am - 4pm & Tuesday evenings from 7pm - 9pm
Phone: 419-893-5703
