EQUINOX MYSTERY CONTINUES
The Mystery Quilt grows! In our mystery's Episode 4, Raoul tracks down clues while Mitzi plays marathon runner. Then Lesson 4 has you make 2 new borders, use and modify library blocks and set them into one of your new borders.

EQuinox is so popular there's now a whole Yahoo group devoted to it, run by teacher Sheila Williams. Here's the link to join the group.

PREVIOUS MYSTERY QUILT STORY AND LESSONS
Our previous EQ "Mystery of the Missing Quilt," is still up. If you are just joining us, start here with Skylights Episode 1 and Lesson 1.

TWO NEW BOOKS PUBLISHED THIS MONTH
Blending2Mary Ellen Kranz's new book, Blending Photos with Fabric 2 is PERFECT for anyone wanting to take better pictures, print them on fabric, and use them in quilts. This all-new sequel to her earlier and sold-out "Blending" book has 10 new quilt projects, 13 computer lessons using Paint Shop Pro, and a 60-page section on learning digital photography, and creating your own washable inkjet printable fabric. Learn 10 easy steps to photo editing—how to turn any photo into a Kaleidoscope design—and many more tricks you'll use again and again.
* Read our interview with author Mary Ellen Kranz.
* Take a class from Mary Ellen at IQF in Houston this fall.

Digital EssentialsYou NEED Gloria Hansen's new book, Digital Essentials. It will help you make web images, get better color from your printer, edit your photos, get ready to print on fabric, turn color photos into black and white, and fix up a quilt photo to enter into a quilt show just to name a few things. She's written easy, step-by-step Mac and Windows lessons using Photoshop, Photoshop Elements and Paint Shop Pro.
