Color Burst
Color Burst
Color Burst with Sparks by: Lauri Homuth

This was a challenge from Keepsake Quilting, Piece a colorburst. I designed it in eq, and was able to print out all the foundation piecing blocks. I think it took 3 yards of black fabric! The wallhanging is 30" square.I call it Colorburst with Sparks.

Choices
Choices
Choices by: Deborah Wukich and Marie Lucier

I wanted to share with you that I finally did it. I made my very first quilt.

I have not sewn for more than 10 years, but just had to try EQ6. It made it look easy, and I have always been fascinated by quilts I made it for my son, Matt, when he was moving out on his own. I wanted him to have something from home. I was getting frustrated when it didn't line up correctly, and Matt's words of support help me decide on the name. He gave me a hug, told me it didn't have to be perfect, all he cared about was that I made it for him. He said nothing was ever perfect. I realized he was right, not all of our choices were perfect the first time around. We just learn from them & hopefully gain more wisdom as life goes on.

I would like to give credit to Marie Lucier of Mt Vernon WA who pieced the quilt together for me & offers quilting services from her home. She kept encouraging me to continue and not give up; offering her assistance when I would get stuck. I would not have finished without her help and words of wisdom.

I am looking forward to creating new projects with EQ6 for the rest of my family.

Grannie's Uneven Trails
Grannie's Uneven Trails
Grannie's Uneven Trails by: Eileen Hoheisel

This is a quilt I designed and made for a model for the quilt shop I sew for. There is a new line of fabric with scenes from Minnesota. I also had to write the pattern. I've been doing that for about 7 years now [yikes! Where does the time go?]

Seasons of Love
Seasons of Love
Seasons of Love by: Judy Messenger

Just thought I'd send you the photos of a reversible rag quilt that I just completed for my daughter to use with her new "college" bedding. I've called it "Seasons of Love" because a few of the fabrics are winter themed but the colours look very spring-like to me.

Although the quilt is a very simple design (it is my own design), EQ6 was a great help as we choose the colour layouts for each side. Most of the fabrics were part of a line exclusively for our local fabric store, so they weren't in any EQ libraries, nor were clips of them available online, but I was able to find fabrics in the EQ libraries that were similar enough to give an idea of what the finished quilt would look like. We tried many different combinations, and my daughter was able to choose the ones that she liked the best for each side.

I also used EQ to choose the quilting motifs. Each different colour of block has a different motif, all chosen from the "Quiltmaker" volumes. I used my embroidery software to digitize the quilting motifs, and quilted each block using my embroidery machine.

Tablerunner
Tablerunner
  Tablerunner by: Svanhild Schmidt-Hovstad

Hi, I've made a lot of tablerunners through the years, and I always use EQ to design them. I enclose three pictures, and a project file containing these three (there were many more, but I decided these were the "best", and shrunk the project also, I keep all tablerunners in one project, same with placemats).

Astrid
  For Astrid by: Svanhild Schmidt-Hovstad

Here is a quilt I made for my sister (Astrid). This was in Quilters Newsletter last year, with a pattern, so the quilt has been to the US... I hope you can use it for the EQ gallery.

Greenwork Quilt
Greenwork Quilt
Greenwork Pure Natur by: Ute Glück

I design all of my Ideas with EQ6. Last Year the Redwork was "in", everybody was stitching Redwork - in RED, but I don't love the Color: Red.

I designed a Brownwork Feather Quilt and a Greenwork Pure Natur.

These are very small Quilts, the Blocks are ~4 x 4''. All the motifs I drew. The Motifs are only drawings, no appliqué, but EQ is very nice to use for Redwork...Brownwork...Greenwork ;-)) EQ is unbelievably.....we can create not only blocks and samples, but also Drawings!
