My installation stops and says I don't have the right resolution. What do I do?
The EQ6 box says that the program requires 1024x768 resolution or higher. Your resolution is
set too low.
Shortcut: Skip steps 1-3 and just right-click an empty space on your Desktop and left-click Properties, then start from 4.

When I installed the EQ6 Upgrade I thought it would change EQ5. Am I supposed to have both EQ5 and EQ6 as two programs?
EQ5 and EQ6 are two separate software programs. If you got the EQ6 Upgrade CD, it simply means that you got a discount on your EQ6 program because you were a registered EQ5 user. It also means that EQ5 must be installed on your computer in order for the EQ6 Upgrade to load.
Neither EQ6 or the EQ6 Upgrade changes or deletes EQ5. If you have the EQ6 Upgrade installed, you may uninstall EQ5 from your computer (although it's a small program).
But you must keep your EQ5 CD, and the EQ5 serial number. You will need both should you ever need to reinstall the EQ6 Upgrade, or install the EQ6 Upgrade on a new computer. Your EQ6 Upgrade CD is useless without EQ5, as it will not install unless EQ5 is already installed on the computer. Should you lose the EQ5 CD, purchasing a new one will be prohibitively expensive, and we want to make sure you never need to purchase an EQ5 CD since you already own one.
If I have the EQ6 Upgrade installed, can I uninstall EQ5?
If you have the EQ6 Upgrade installed, you may uninstall EQ5 from your computer. (Your EQ5
projects, will still remain on your hard drive and can be used in EQ6. Your EQ5 User Libraries
would need to be backed up before uninstalling.)

I do not have an internet connection. How can I install and activate?
In order to activate and register, each computer you install on must be connected to the internet at least once. This is one of the system requirements.
I often work on my computer outside, when it's not connected to the Internet. Will this work with EQ6?
Yes. The computer only needs to be connected to the internet for installation, activation and registration. After EQ6 is completely installed, EQ6 does not need to be connected to the internet ever again.

Why do I get a "failed to create empty document" message whenever I try to start the program?
The Failed to create empty document message indicates you did not get a good, complete installation
of EQ6.
Please try this:
IMPORTANT: If you do not use the suggested installation paths, make sure you put EQ6 in a folder, but not the same folder as EQ5. This is important, they each like to have their own space.
If you installed EQ6 on top of EQ5, you may also want to uninstall and reinstall EQ5 as well, then use the suggested installation paths during both installations or put them in separate folders of your choice.
Installing EQ6 on Vista, I got an error 42, could not initialize. What should I do?
