Help, I've got an unreadable notecard, unreadable fabric, or unreadable polygon in one of my EQ5 projects I am opening in EQ6. When you open the EQ5 Sketchbook to the Blocks section, it will say so many of X blocks
(ex. 1 of 20). So, let's say you have 14 blocks in EQ6 and 20 blocks in EQ5 when you view the project. This means the block with the problem is number 15. Open the project in EQ5 and edit block 15. You may get a pop-up like this: If there are open patches, you can find them by hovering over all the nodes in the drawing
with the Edit tool If there are no open patches, delete the old block 15, save the project, and try opening/importing from the project in EQ6 again. Delete the old block 15, save the project, and try opening the project in EQ6 again. Why do I get a "failed to create empty document" message whenever I try to start the program? Please try this:
IMPORTANT: If you do not use the suggested installation paths, make sure you put EQ6 in a folder, but not the same folder as EQ5. This is important, they each like to have their own space. If you installed EQ6 on top of EQ5, you may also want to uninstall and reinstall EQ5 as well, then use the suggested installation paths during both installations or put them in separate folders of your choice.
