"I can't shout loud enough to the world what an incredible software EQ5 is. The quality and accuracy of the templates it yields is phenomenal. The odd measurements templates for the border block of a quilt I designed in July 2005, something like 7.00 x 7.5833, were printed so perfectly, it yielded a perfectly well pieced quilt. That quilt got me 2nd place award in the Amateur Pieced category at the 2006 Indiana Heritage Quilt Show. I have two quilts that were finalists in two different years of the Museum of the American Society's New Quilts from an Old Favorite contest, one of them still on a traveling exhibit, quilts that I designed with the help of EQ; one had 5.75 inch blocks and 2.875 sashing blocks, the other had half 60 degrees diamonds. "I just wanted to say WOW! My mom and I have been quilting together for a few years now and every year for our family reunion we have made a signature quilt. "I received my copy of EQ5 today. I've been playing all evening and am soooo impressed. I've only made it through 1-1/2 lessons in the "getting started" because I keep getting distracted by all the neat enhancements I keep running across as I am going through the lessons. Using the new layouts allows you to design phenomenal quilts - very quickly. It almost feels like cheating it goes so well.

The help videos are also a nice overview for some of the basics. For those new to EQ, I would definitely recommend playing them. The manuals are great. Half the time when I had a question, it was answered in the next paragraph. Other items were easy to look up in the design cookbook.

Hats off to EQ the mouse (and the whole crew) for a great upgrade. It is definitely worth every penny."

We sell pre-cut bundles of coordinating fabric (50 fabrics cut 2 1/2 inches.) Our perpetual challenge is finding a way to help the customers use those strips. "People ask what will EQ5 do. The bigger question is "What won't it do for you?" I have never attempted any design that couldn't be accomplished with EQ. This product probably has the greatest number of satisfied customers on the planet. The customer support is better than any software on the market, bar none. While you are at it, get BlockBase as well. You will have thousands of patterns then to play with. You can change them to fit your liking. I'm having a tough time coming up with wishes for EQ6. I'm sure I'll think of something before long. This company listens to is customers and improves the program accordingly. Everyone starts somewhere and even a novice can create a quilt in minutes."

"I just bought this software and i am in love with it. I have found it to be great for the beginner quilter as well as the most experienced quilter. I have designed about 20 different quilts already. I have to say that this is the best teaching tool I have found. I have learned a lot from the program. I would recommend this software to anyone just starting out in the quilting field, because the cutting patterns are easier to follow than most I have seen.

"Okay, I'm one of those kind of people who liked to figure things out the hard way......all the calculations and hand drawings for my quilts... buying the books and patterns... redoing the quilt design as I go along because it wasn't what I thought it would look like... NOT ANYMORE!!!

I can't believe this program is not being used around my town or by more people... yes the quilt shop has one installed for people to test but the price scared me... so I walked by. My friends are seeing the end results. The quilts I designed with the fabrics I want, you can see your quilt before you make it.

My twelve year old daughter is using it... I came home one day and there she was sitting at my PC designing her first quilt. After a three inch binder of my collections and started looking for more space plus looking for time saver ideas... I sat down at the shop and played.

My king size quilt... was created in minutes... my clicking and poking around the software brought new life to my quilting design. I kept saying WOW! This is COOL! and I begged my hubby until one day I bought it on my own. The videos make it easy to learn, the help from EQ support was quick response with step by step instructions to my question, and one day I called them to ask a question - wouldn't you know the voice in the video was the voice on the phone.....very helpful... very nice. She even listened to my idea for panning around my quilt.

I can't tell you enough about what this software does but I can tell you that the possibilities are endless especially with BlockBase automatically linked to the EQ program the selection is so far - a bad thing for me because now I want to... make this quilt,... do that block ...and of course, use that fabric. Oh, if only this PC can cut my fabric for me now that would be really COOL !

Thank you EQ software designers for your hard work to please the "hard to please" quilters. My time on your software makes more time for me to sew.

"Hi, I just wanted to email and tell you how very satisfied I am with my purchase. I received it Monday afternoon and did the first 5 lessons that evening. The next morning I started at lesson one again and quickly worked through all of them again and did the final lesson. Tuesday afternoon I started playing with the program and by Friday had designed two quilt tops and purchased the fabrics for one of them! I even drew two appliqué patterns that I wanted that weren't included. Today (Saturday) I am going to start cutting the fabrics and sewing the blocks.
