What is Dear Hannah?

Brenda's best-selling Dear Jane book (1996) created a quilt-world craze. Quilters loved Brenda's touching letters written to Civil War era quilter Jane Stickle. By the thousands, they took up the challenge of recreating Jane's masterpiece sampler quilt from Brenda's patterns, or designing contemporary adaptations of the "Dear Jane" quilt.

Now, by popular demand, Brenda's long-awaited sequel - Dear Hannah: In the Style of Jane A. Stickle - features all new vintage patterns, with charming letters to her granddaughter, Hannah.

We offer both the Dear Hannah book, and the Dear Hannah CD. (The CD contains patterns from the book, printable from EQ5, EQ6, or Dear Jane software.)

Brenda Papadakis presents Dear Jane enthusiasts with more gorgeous, vintage patterns linking past and present. The Dear Hannah CD contains patterns for all 144 quilt blocks, 48 border triangles and 4 corners for the Dear Hannah Quilt.

Design your own Hannah-Jane quilt!

If you own the Dear Jane software:

All 196 Dear Hannah blocks, border triangles and corner kites will be loaded right into your Dear Jane library.
print the patterns
  • Use the wizard to open the Dear Hannah quilt.
  • Modify the blocks and borders as mush as you like - resize, recolor, replace blocks, etc.
  • Print the patterns in any style and size.

Installation

Blocks will automatically be installed to your EQ5, EQ6, or Dear Jane Block Libraries. Complete installation instructions included.
