Star Spangled Quilt I'd like to stick with a red, white, and blue theme, maybe with some gold accents. Any fabrics will do, so long
as their red, white, and blue. (Hey that rhymes--do-blue!). Center: Connie |
Country Baskets I'd like to stick with deep country colors and more traditional style blocks. I'm open for some good names for this quilt. - Dawn Center: Dawn |
Purple Dream Since this is my first RR, I decided to start with something pretty simple. I'm thinking batik-y and contemporary
for this one. Maybe something I'd even get around to sewing up! Center: Julie |
Star Flower for Greta I tried to tie all the rounds together and lighten up the outside. I thought the purple triangles made a fun movement with the center. Center: Lisa |

Playing with the Provencal Pallette Center: Carol Zalon |
Around the World I hope I didn't go too dramatic. The center Vigdis designed looked fantastic with a very simple first border but I just couldn't resist the fun of designing this one. I like the way it sort of floats her block. Hope you like it, too! Center: Vigdis |
Sailor's Delight I had a lot of fun doing this round robin with everyone. Having Daphne as our fearless leader was a blast. The center block was done by superimposing 2 EasyDraw blocks on top of one another, then using Add Grades to get the coloring, then replacing the solids with similarly-colored fabrics. Center: Andrea |
Daphne Stewart I have truly enjoyed working with this group and I love what they did to my center! When I exported a small snapshot to a letter the nice scallop edge Vigdis did with a block disappeared so I got her permission to duplicate the look with a virtual border (the first one I've tried). I like the way it enhances the un-square look of it. Center: Daphne |

Spring 2003 I had to do a green border at last, so it could be gathered and look like the green color also had a right
to be there :o) Center: Ingrid |
Feeling of Spring The feeling of spring in the air is a taste of revival. Center: Nathalie |
This is my center
for this RR, looking forward to watching it grow... Enjoy. Center: Peggy |
May Flowers Spring is the theme of this Round Robin started on March 14, 2003. Spring flowers, blue birds, butterflies and a hidden lady bug make up my center block. You may add any fabrics in these color famlies. - Sue Center: Sue |

Pooh Redwork This quilt was beautiful even before the addition of the last border. I wanted something that would complement the work already done, but still draw the eye to the center. The Big and Little Points Out seemed to best fit the need. - Randi Center: Randi |
This is a wonderful Bald Eagle, Tricia. I really liked the first border that Randi
put around the block, and after playing around with several different blocks, I decided
that a simpler final border was in order. I think using
the Points Out border and using only one point out on each side, it frames the center and Randi's
border very nicely. The colors are bright and give enough illumination to make the center pop
right out. This was great fun. RR35 |

I really like this quilt. Center: Betsy |
Rainbows on the Square I like using blocks that make a secondary pattern when rotated, so chose the cornucopia
block, which I have always liked, modified it to fit in the corner. I then added
the rainbow stripes and center circle to use the same colors. I may make this for
a neice that is partial to rainbows. Center: Julie |
I wanted to add a diamond shape so there are two version, this one with the rest of the border filled in, and a plain one with just the diamond, work on whichever you like. - Becky I drew the block I used when I got the wrong version of your robin. I used the corners of your center to match. Then I liked it to add to this one, so used it to add to the four corners. Then I experimented with another round with the same block and liked it too, so see the next quilt. - Julie Center: Pines |

Spring I have made the block in custom set and in layer 2 . I started with the tulips. The sun is shining and you can do the most things with what you want. I hope that you have enough inspiraration for the first border. - Carien Center: Carien |
I used the fabric from the center to finish with. Then I added the grapes and made them overlap Jennifers border like she suggested, and I think that looks just fine. Then I added a thin binding in a colour from the grapes to make a little frame around the quilt. - Eyglo Center: Diana |
Springtime The spring is on its way, Center: Eyglo |
It's Spring! I chose to make a flower garden complete with birdhouse and bird because this is probably the closest I will ever get to a garden -- no green thumb here LOL! - Jennifer Center: Jennifer |

A hotel somewhere in France Some years ago I went to France with my family. There I saw a lot of beatuful hotels. This is the memory I have in my head. Hope you like to play with it Make a garden, a roof or whatever you want. Center: Vigdis |
Stucco Saves Ireland ... Put 'Stucco' fabric by Northcott Studio, a center inspired by a screen saver, and a comment on Ireland by one border adder and what do you get? A silly title like "Stucco Saves Ireland ..." I very much like what these lovely ladies did with my center and I like their willingness to stick to the colors green and yellow. I have worked with two of them twice and the other one--the ornery one--three times. They still delight me with their good ideas and they're still fun! I wish all could see the detail that shows up on the big image of the EQ design screen. Center: Daphne |
As Vigdis and Sandy worked on Carol's center, they used the word 'tender' or gentle
in e-mails as they talked about it When I got it, I could see why they used those
words. The theme and the pastel colors are truly tender and lovely, and the borders
fit the center perfectly The colors made it a hard one for me to add to, though,
since I'm usually a big user of strong contrast in colors. So to keep the delicate
look and NOT MESS IT UP, I just added a small mitered base and a virtual border of
prairie points. I hope Carol likes it. Center: Carol |
Free Wheeling Adapted from a block in Quilts Japan Have fun with this design. Feel free to add fabrics, or even change my color choices
if you get a better idea. Here's a challenge - can this end up as an asymetrical
quilt, with a very symetrical center???? Center: Sandy |
