I took part in the first labels challenge back in 2002 when we learned to import text from a word processor. It worked but EQ6's text feature is easier and less limiting. This is the 109th design I've done for EQ challenges. The fun goes on ... Sunnyside, Washington |

I started with the "Butterfly -- from Baltimore Album" quilt block in EQ's library. I tweaked the butterfly a little -- just for fun -- and then added the background (pieced layer). The thread tool makes it look like a stripe fabric. I kept the border simple to focus attention on the center. This label could be for any occasion quilt. I think the butterfly is a symbol of life ... or joy ... something! Sunnyside, Washington |
This is the first time I've tried a
challenge but thought I could handle a label!. Our guild presents the
outgoing president with blocks made by members. If only the 12 members
of the executive participate, this label provides a space for each one
to sign their own name. |

Houston, Texas, USA The quilt depicted on this label is a re-creation of the quilt I made at a workshop conducted by Tom Russell in Houston, Texas, January 2008. To see Tom Russell's inspirational "Scrap Bag Bouquet" quilt, view Simply Quilts Episode QLT-1010. |

Never too early to start Halloween quilts because by the time Halloween gets close -- we'll all be at the International Quilt Festival, won't we??? |
I used some of the appliques from EQ's My Dream Home software. I think I would just print out the pictures on fabric rather than making them from applique. |
This is a label that I will print for
the quilt that I am making for my niece (I am at the quilting phase!).
Frogs are from a previous challenge (200501). Other drawings are from
EQ library. |
I am planning to make a quilt for my best friend
that loves hearts and cats and besides she just got her lovely baby
called valentin.... And this will be the label for the quilt! |

Guildford, England I used one of the placemat library quilts and made it a little smaller. This is simply a mini strip quilt and the block is from blockbase. |
Guildford, England Winnie and Hattie are my two cats who are just coming up to their first birthday. This quilt was actually designed as an e-mail Christmas card, but I think it makes a really good quilt label as well, particularly as they both love helping me to make quilts. |

The quilt won viewer's choice at the Clover Valley Women's Institute Quilt Show 2007. I will print this label on unbleached muslin. Jane Turgeon, Northeastern Ontario |
Quilt Label for mantel quilt designed for Challenge in Sept 2005. See block notecards for block credits. The quilt is slated for completion December 2008 (I hope). Northeastern Ontario |
I drew a vine through the block so it created a
nice curve and created a quarter circle in each corner block and then
added flower and leaf motifs. |

I like to make my labels match the theme
of my quilt and I usually design my labels in my embroidery software
to cor-ordinate with the design of the quilt and embroider them on a
piece of fabric used in the quilt. I used a two color border and placed
the embroidery over it. |
This quilt label is based on one I used
on a wedding quilt for my sister - the quilt was a two-toned log cabin
quilt, so the label was made to match

Lebanon, Maine This label will probably appear on red-headed Aiden's quilt. His name means firey-one |
Lebanon, Maine The left hand side of the label started as a quilt design., The center block has nine patches: the heart in the center and a flower in each corner patch (to make it easier to sew). The round of scrolls is the 1st border and the swags are the second , I did not like the look of the label with all of the block divisions, so redrew the quilt as a block. Although I have made labels that included EQ 'quilts', those were done with a different program. The eq image was set into the design and the words were added. EQ text is easy, but there was still a little learning curve: many opportunities for correction while setting this text gave me many opportunities to learn the verses! They are among my favorites for a wedding quilt. |

Calimesa, CA This label made to represent the actual quilt. The individual blocks have the four curved areas with all outside edges having the same purple color. The centers of the blocks are free motion embroidered florals showing many different techniques of the craft. I knew my friend would never do anything like this so I presented the blocks to her on her birthday. Years later, I got a package in the mail and I knew immediately what it was. As it happened I had found Cheryl Phillip's Rings That Bind and it was the perfect presentation for the blocks. Now that I have a label, the package will be resent. |
