I designed this quilt wallhanging for my SO to display some of the many photographs we've taken during several trips through California's wine country.
The background blocks form Ws; the solid areas have frames for the photographs and appliqués set on Layer 2 while the bargello-like W patterns feature rich red & violet wine colors along with warm oak & leather browns. The browns are also repeated in the border.
Motifs for grape vines & bunches, wine glasses & bottles were all drafted in PatchDraw.
