I really enjoyed this challenge! So much so I have submitted 2 designs! I also will
be challenged to make these for real someday! South Yorkshire, UK |

I designed the appliques and quilting stencils for this quilt after taking Quilt University's "EQ5 Wreathmaker" course, taught by Patti Anderson. Once you get the hang of it, using the wreathmaker function in PatchDraw is really fun and the possibilities are endless. Massachusetts |
I was trying to think of something more creative but since I have been working on a Sampler quilt, I kept coming back to a basic 12 patch. This one I made using the custome layout. Originally I used lots of interesting fabrics but changed all but the focus fabric to solids to reduce the file. Roslyn, PA |

This is my first challenge quilt, and I had a blast designing it. I don't think any of the blocks are copyrighted. The only block that is my original is the "4 Top at the Diner". Blocks are as follows: Jan = Fireworks Wildomar, CA |
This is a Monthly Holiday Paper Piecing Sampler Quilt. Blocks used are from the various EQ software programs. My first challenge! Ohio |
I have made a couple of block of the month quilts, or in my case it was the $10.00 quilt. However my frustration is that it appeared no thought was given into the construction of the quilt until the last couple of months. So, this Block of the Month is deigned to go from easy blocks to more difficult blocks, including a couple of appliqué blocks, designed in a setting to have a completed quilt top. Only thing is it will take at least 13 months to complete. |

I thought of what I would want to make that represented the 12 blocks of the year to my family and this is what I came up with. Very similar to a Robert Callaham style! I have always admired his works but have never made one *yet* Idaho |
These blocks were taken from the EQ Autograph series of days and months, then after re-coloring set in a series of borders suggesting regression. Curiously the border lines are straight, not curved as they seem! Victoria, BC |
I've been playing with this design off and on for about a year now. I will probably offer this as a real BOM to an online group I belong to. This challenge just lead me to finish it up. Beavercreek, Ohio |

I really like these applique fish in the EQ library. All these little fishies are out for a "walk" in the sea and just happen to encounter each other. Beavercreek, Ohio |
Started with Striped Floral Block from EQ5 Block Library, set on point, replaced
centers with EQ appliqué motifs modified for this project. Changed Color Pallette
using coordinating & contrasting fabrics. Ridgefield, NJ |
Filled a 3x4 Horizontal Quilt layout with 12 variations on the Fall Dance Block from the EQ5 Block Library creating a pattern that appears to me like yellow & orange patterned daises floating on multiple beautiful blue/turquoise colored tiles. The tiling pattern & colors are echoed in the Big & Little Diamonds border. Ridgefield, NJ |

I selected these blocks with the help of Block Base. Each block represents a state or thought that is meaningful to me. The colors are obvious and each came from a different pallette -- The white is from "Snow", the blue from "Blueberry Pie" and the red from "1930's". All in all, I really like this set! |
This Challenge is a great exercise in borders and the "A" word. I designed it for six months. I lose interest in challenges that last longer then 6 months. The applique was designed for fuseable. Felt would be even better and faster. I first designed this using Benetexs Fossil Fern fabrics from Stash. Temecula, CA |
Even though it might not look it (at least when "outline patches" is turned off), these are all based on the nine-patch square. South Bend, IN, USA |

I've just started making a Dear Jane and bought far too much Civil War fabric (sound familiar?). I'd like to try making a Mariner's Compass style and played around with some star and compass blocks. |
I would like to learn the Sashiko technique... Some of these traditional blocks were done in Patti Anderson's class at QU. 9 months for the blocks and borders and binding for 3 more months. Some Appliqué here and there because it seems it is a Japanese touch! |
