Special Effects - 4 - Attic Windows look like the feathers and arrowheads on an arrow shaft, so I added Indian Puzzle.

This is the first quilt that I have designed that I'm ever going to show anyone outside of my family (big coward here). I'm a beginner to EQ, designing and quilting (I got this program from a friend secondhand without the books or anything so most of what I do is from playing around). I wanted to try something different so this is what I came up with. It screams "BEGINNER!!" I know. I didn't want to spoil it by adding more stuff (like one more - yeah right - block), so if this isn't what you all are used to seeing here I really do apologize. I had fun doing it and just wanted to share it with someone other than my biased (well-meaning) family.

I used Special Effects 10 and the contrary wife block for my first and perhaps only Christmas quilt. This is my first entry in the challenge and I'm thrilled to do it!

I used Special Effects 9 with the western spy block. This is the first time I've used the special effects layouts - they are a lot of fun!

The sky is falling! I totally see this quilt as a raw-edge applique project. The chicken motifs are from a BOM quilt that was available for free download as an EQ file; but I can't locate the website. It's probably even someone on the EQ list :) I used Layout 10 for this quilt.

Using Special Effects layout 9 and the Four X Star block with the Crossed Canoes block from the library. I like the motion that this layout achieves in the quilt. I used the almost Black pallette to see the effect of black in the quilt.
