Falling Leaves

One basic leaf block, several variations with skewing the block and redrawing it.

I recommend viewing without patch or block outlines.

Created with the vertical strip quilt layout style.

Autumn Leaves design

Mighty Oaks from Little Acrons Do Grow

A completely original design.
I have always been very fond of our English oak trees, so for me it had to be
English oak leaves which I traced in patchdraw from a dried original leaf. The acorn was drawn from an real acorn. The
Tree trunk was loosely based on the trunk of Rita Denenburg's'Family Tree' Block in EQ
I just wouldn't have thought of this one without this challenge... Thank You!

Mighty Oaks From Little Acorns Do Grow II

A completely original design.
I did think of calling this one 'Cycle of Life'
As I have acorns, with green and golden leaves and a partially bare trunk covering all the seasons
I thought autumnal colours suited the design.

Fall Splendor

Memories of growing up in Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Thanks for stimulating my imagination, Anna. And thank you for posting Nature in general and leaf blocks in particular for this month's Club EQ Challenge, Barb Vlack. As far as I'm concerned, you couldn't have picked anything more appropriate for this time of year when Labor Day is just around the corner and children are returning to school.

Philodendron cum Puppy

Barb asked for leaf blocks so this quilt has three applique blocks. I also had great fun using the leaves as motifs. My husband (the same man who tried to get me to draw a roasted pig for the Hawaiian challenge) says I should add three 'X''s to the planter pot because it looks to him like a moonshine jug. This man is a great help to me ...

Misdemeanor Maple

Call out the challenge police: Barb said "Use a leaf block somewhere in your quilt" and this is a one-leaf quilt made of blocks of fabric instead. The last time I deliberately misconstrued the challenge rules, snow was deep here. It seems to be time for another little fling.

Wooly Leaves

I envision this in hand-dyed wool, appliqued to a softly mottled silk matka or woolen background. I drew the "grapevine" wreath a few years ago and now I have added the leaf motifs from the EQ library.
The quilt was designed by layering two circle motifs over a custom set background and then deleting the borders. The motifs are set on layer 2.
