Wonder if the block designer ever envisioned this!

Fariswheel

I used the Stars 13 layout which I've used many times before. It does amazing things with a block and rotations. Maybe someday I will get the courage to try a 'Y' seam and actually sew one. I used the Strip Circles block from the 'log cabin like' category of the EQ library. I edited the same block to eliminate some unnecessary seams for the outer row.

This design is identical to the Fariswheel Quilt with coloring and rotation for a different effect, using Stars 13 layout and Strip Circles block from the EQ library.

Just imagine what beautiful table covers & tree shirts could be created with the Stars 13 layout if you left out the corner triangles, and EQ will print your skewed blocks perfectly! It doesnt get much better than this. Thanks electric quilt company... You are a star!

I only had one block in the EQ5 file where I started this challenge. I brought up the Stars 10 Layout, then I accidentally held the "Control" key down when I placed the block into one of the squares and "WOW" what a design! After playing with color and the rotate button I soon had 45 quilts to choose from to send in. It was hard to narrow it down to 2. This has been a wonderful experience.
