Basket Mania Label 2 label: "Basket Mania Original basket blocks inspired by Quilted Closet's heirloom baskets and classic pieced quilt blocks. Label and blocks designed January 2003 for EQ Club Challenge and to begin to fulfill one of this year's Quilty resolutions (to make a basket quilt. determined after seeing appealing basket and tree of life quilts at 2002 Sisters, OR Quilt Show). Terry M. Haley DeVine (TMHD)" This block made a natural frame. Label is sized at 3 inches square. I would probably print this though appliqued border with label pieced in or also appliqued would be possible. I like the printed block outlines and would possibly embellish with buttonhole stitch. Challenge on this one was to learn more about nudging and setting preferences so that label floated in block rather than attaching to a flower piece. tdmdld@aol.com Hood River, OR |

Hearts in Love label: "For Tracie from Sheila Dec. 2002" I created this quilt label using letters from the Applique Letter Challenge that was held on the list. To line the letters up I use the Graph Pad. I used one of the border stencils as a back drop for the label. Then added color to it. To give the butterflies the appearance of flying, I use the rotate feature on the graph pad. Temecula, CA donegan@iinet.com Sheila's website |

To line the letters up I use the Graph Pad. I wanted the label to have a layered look do used the Custom set added a blank. Added color to it. Then I added a second blank block over the first and added color to it. I also used border stencils around the block and added color to them. Temecula, CA donegan@iinet.com Sheila's website |
