| "Explore
the EQ Block Library and find two blocks that can be superimposed to create
an entirely new block. This can be a really fun thing to do and something
you might not think to do without the computer to help you! Start by looking
at blocks with similar grids. You can explore further by getting bold about
what you combine. The superimposing or overlaying of one block design over another can be done in the Edit mode from the Sketchbook. Save two blocks into the project Sketchbook. Edit one and select all the lines. Copy. Then Paste those lines over another block drawing that you have selected to Edit from the Sketchbook. Carefully center one over the other and look for design elements to highlight with color." |

Tess
Canham
Fireworks at the window Tess Canham from Norfolk, England. tezzcan@aol.com This is the first Challenge I have done and as I haven't have this program very long I used to simpleish blocks. Lattice square (classic pieced/four patch) on the bottom. Fireworks (contemporary pieced/secondary suprises) on the top. Fireworks was resized to 75% and colouring slightly altered for second block. I think that it is the colouring that makes it work, I found the entwined border on the wonderful Quilters Cache site and used the grid lines to break it down into one block. I hope you like the result. |
