Club EQ Album: November 2002 Challenge: Superimpose Blocks! Page 11

"Explore the EQ Block Library and find two blocks that can be superimposed to create an entirely new block. This can be a really fun thing to do and something you might not think to do without the computer to help you! Start by looking at blocks with similar grids. You can explore further by getting bold about what you combine.

The superimposing or overlaying of one block design over another can be done in the Edit mode from the Sketchbook. Save two blocks into the project Sketchbook. Edit one and select all the lines. Copy. Then Paste those lines over another block drawing that you have selected to Edit from the Sketchbook. Carefully center one over the other and look for design elements to highlight with color."

Shades of Autumn

Diagonal Strips II + Woven Logs This was a very interesting challenge. I really had to play around with lots of blocks, coloring, and ideas. Thanks, Andrea, for expanding my options of what "new stuff" can be done with EQ5. It's truly a super cool idea!! Faith Bluma faith@coredcs.com www.coredcs.com/~faith

Two Block New Block

I like the interesting things happening in this design; however, the concept of actually constructing this block scares the stitches out of me. Kathleen Potvin Ft Wayne, Indiana bobkat@onlyinternet.net
