"Lots of Love" This block is my favorite to draw to demonstrate Wreathmaker. It is always a happy surprise to see how it turns out. It makes a wonderful applique motif for a traditional quilt. Barb Vlack cptvdeo@inil.com
"When Your Heart Bleeds...Make a Beautiful Quilt" I drew a variation of the 1898 Bleeding Heart block, #3358 in Block Base. I changed a geometric angular blood drop into an appliqued teardrop shape and placed a second drop on the opposite side of the block in order to get the secondary star design in the Baby Blocks layout. Deep In The Heart of Texas June 2001 Challenge: Hearts! Vivian Galloway Austin, Texas vivianbg@juno.com I've been quilting almost a year, am new to EQ4. February Holidays Nancy Welsch, Mississippi A Janome Educator made a hanging like this about ten years ago. I drew it off on graph paper and made the hanging. Getting the drunkards paths and the log cabins to fit was a fun challenge. EQ4.1 was a lot easier.
Heart of My Heart 06PaulK The different small blocks were drafted from the Peaky and Spike blocks from Doreen Speckman. You'd be amazed at what you can do with these little blocks.. Pauline Keller barza_1@yahoo.com
Kaleidoscope Heart #1 06PaulK Used the Kaleidoscope blocks to form the heart. Pauline Keller barza_1@yahoo.com
Kaleidscope Heart #2 06PaulK Don't know which version I like the best. Pauline Keller barza_1@yaho.com
Pieces of my Heart -JoAnn Korzenko 6-01 Joannk@aol.com Redrew lines to create heart log cabin block, appliqued hearts and ivy drawn in patch draw.
Heart's Around Made with patch draw slightly over-laying four hearts. This is fun with different colorways including plain white/and every block (large size). I believe this block could be made in wreathmaker. Jan H.
Circles of Love Sherry Coté, Delhi, CA I did a search in Block Base for blocks that had heart in the name. Then I played around until I found a combination that I liked. wecycle@telis.org
Home Is Where the Quilt Is Sherry Coté, Delhi, CA 6/01 This was an exercise in incorperating existing pieced blocks into another pieced block, without the need to redraw each of the blocks. The the cat (from Sew Precise 3), the basket and quilt (from EQ library), and the table are all part of the pieced background block. The other elements were added as applique motifs in layer 2. wecycle@telis.org

Hearts In the Garden Path Garnet Underwood Hiddenite, NC USA rguwood@conninc.com I started with the traditional Garden Path block changing it just a bit to include stylized hearts. Appliqued hearts and heart quilting motifs finish off the design.
Sweetheart's Fancy Block is an original paper-pieced design by Melisa McCurley mccurley@i-55.com http://atyourwhimsy.com From South Louisiana. I love pinks and yellows!
Hearts and More! Martha Flanagan Clifton Park, NY martha@nycap.rr.com I saw a quilt similar to this at NY Quilts! and came home to design it in EQ.

Storm-at-Sea Hearts June 2001 clubEQ challenge Charlotte Kleiner Winnipeg, Mb, Canada hkleiner@attcanada.ca I always see hearts when I look at variations of the Storm-at-Sea blocks (Sherry Cote's "Baskets and Bows" quilt from the May 2001 challenge, for example), so this was an opportunity to play around with the blocks and try out the shades and tints feature to make a "Heart" theme quilt.
Watercolour Heart June 2001 clubEq challenge Charlotte Kleiner Winnipeg, Mb, Canada hkleiner@attcanada.ca For this project I used fabrics from the EQ3 Designer Fabrics - Watercolor Mix. This was to save on the size of the file. I used the "Add colorway" feature to change the original colors in EQ to make them red and pink. -- ( I also made the quilt using fabrics from Stash, but the file was over 3200 KB!)

Love Makes the World Go Round! I seem to be drawn to quilts with circles in them. When I searched Blcok Base for hearts it came up with the Heart Quilt Block. I wanted even more circles to I found the block Circle Star in the EQ library. I changed the name to Circle Heart when I added the heart to the center in layer 2. The swag is one that I designed for the EQ swag challenge in 2000. Kathleen Johnson Alexander, ND quilted@ruggedwest.com
Verona Procyshyn, British Columbia, Canada I wanted the Celtic appliqued hearts and leaves to form the heart in this layout. I was also striving for a very vivid contrast-hence the black, with a touch of gold. I made at least 15 different tops with this layout, until finally, I was kind of satisfied with this one! verona@rctvonline.net
