The Bear Went Over The Mountain. I used the irregular grid described in
EQ4 Magic to make this optical illusion. The quilt does look like there's

IA Having spent three years teaching and traveling in Australia, I really
had to make something when I saw this Koala material. I only had a small
amount but was able to fussy cut 4 12" squares with koala bears.
Since they were 'bears', the Bear Paw block seemed appropriate. This was
my first attempt at scanning fabric to use in a quilt. I think I can do

in Boring Oregon I like to take traditional blocks then add and/or subtract
lines to get new looks. I added 8 lines to the Bear's Paw block to get
this new block. The colors look like fall leaves so let's call this one

Paw's Paw is made by setting a bear paw quilting template into layer one
and setting bear paw blocks into layer two. I followed the directions
found in the book EQ Magic, Using A Block as a Quilt Layout Template.
Club EQ has been a great inspiration for me learn about EQ by trying out

Bears are in the woods. Log cabins are in the woods. So, I made a center
Bear's Paw of Log Cabin blocks and surrounded it with a border of Bear's
Paw blocks. Where's the woods? On the back of the quilt, of course! LOL
